From all existing variety each species of begonia in own way is fine. These are the pretentious plants demanding thorough leaving: they do not take out direct sunshine, high temperature and low humidity. In order that begonias gave bright greens and blossomed on extent of long time, it is necessary to replace annually them and to enrich poor soil.


1. Prepare capacity for change. Because of high probability of rotting of roots and stagnation of moisture the experts categorically do not recommend to plant begonias in plastic cachepots. Use ceramic and clay flat dishes with high pallets that surplus of water when watering did not remain in the soil. Put the young taken roots shanks in pots with a radius of 5-6 cm, and plants are more senior – 8-10 cm. At change consider that new capacity has to be at least 1/3 more than former. On bottom of flowerpot place drainage (haydite, beaten crocks, splinters of red brick). Arrange the following layer wood charcoal.

2. Prepare the substrate suitable begonias, it has to be rather friable and air-permeable. For landing of young plants mix the earth and peat in equal proportion, and for adult begonia prepare mix from the earth, peat and sand. In such soil of plant develop good root system and beautiful green foliage. Carefully spill substrate warm water.

3. Take out potassium permanganate. After cutting of the begun to rot roots let's them dry up, and then powder places of cuts with the pounded activated or wood charcoal.

4. Lower the prepared plant in the center of new pot. Carefully, not to break leaves, pour the prepared substrate in emptiness at the edges of earth lump. As necessary trample down the soil fingers. Fill so much earth that to the top edge there were not less than 1-1.5 cm in capacity. This space is useful for the subsequent watering of begonia.

5. It is abundant water the planted plant until water does not begin to come out drainage hole.
