The gloxinia is very beautiful and popular houseplant which loves huge amount of light. Therefore to grow up gloxinia in the twilight, most likely, it will not turn out. In the nature there are several species of this plant which flowers have the various form and coloring. It is the best of all to replace gloxinia during the spring period when the blossoming period stops.

- - gloxinia tuber.
Instruction
1. Begin to replace gloxinia tubers during dormant period when on them small sprouts appear. Do not assume that the sprout has grown too big therefore, the earlier you replace plant, the it will be better for it.
2. Prepare gloxinia tuber for change. Carefully take it from pot and clean from the old soil. Remove old roots and wash tuber in water that it was possible to see availability or lack of decay, damage or trukhlyavost.
3. If roots and tuber of plant are damaged, will cut affected areas and dry tuber during the day. After that lower it in weak solution of permanganate of potassium. Wrap the wrinkled and soft tubers in wet fabric and let's it gain elasticity, leave for 3 days. This time will be enough that the tuber became firmer.
4. For change of gloxinia take feeder, easy and vozdukho- and the water-permeable soil prepared on the basis of peat. In such soil the probability of rotting and the gulf of tubers of plant will decrease.
5. Important point of change is correctly picked up pot, in the diameter it has to be 5-6 centimeters more than the tuber. If to replace gloxinia in too big pot, roots and leaves will grow very slowly, blossoming will be overdue too.
6. Put drainage which layer has to make about 1-2 centimeters on pot bottom. From above fill the prepared soil, make in it deepening for gloxinia tuber.
7. Place tuber in deepening and fill up with soil on 2/3 so that its top remained open, and soil has not got on sprouts.
8. Accurately water soil around plant, try to avoid water ingress on sprouts and the center of tuber. After sprouts a little grow up, it will be possible to add a little soil to pot and to powder tuber completely.
9. Depth of landing is very important for landing, the tuber has to be in soil completely. Begin to fertilize plant in 4-6 weeks after change.
