Walnut grows on loams, maintains frosts to 30 degrees therefore can fructify in midland of Russia. The only condition is warm October without steady frosts as fruits grow ripe very late whereas blossoming begins in April. Nut the ripened seeds breeds. In year after shoots the plant is replaced to the constant place.

- - organic or mineral fertilizers;
- - saplings or the reproached shanks.
Instruction
1. If you have put seeds in the spring, carry out change next spring. At autumn landing, postpone change for the spring period, that is in this case you replace nut to half a year later.
2. Pave the way for change, dig out holes of 40 cm in depth, fill them with organic or mineral fertilizers.
3. Before change the young plant is abundant water. In a day accurately dig out with lump of the earth and move to the new place. If you carry out annual forming of krone and will limit growth of tree by cutting, then distance between trees make 60х60х60. Without forming the trees require big space as the krone can expand indefinitely therefore you carry out landing of plants at distance of 4-5 meters from each other.
4. If you do not form krone and height of plant, then nut will begin to fructify only in 10 years. When forming the fructification will begin for the fifth year, but fruits will be small.
5. During the summer carry out fertilizing of the replaced plant 3-4 times, you introduce liquid or dry complex fertilizers according to the instruction on packing.
6. If you want to replace the reproached shank, then make landing to the constant place and only in the spring approximately at the end of May, the beginning of April at once.
7. Change and care for the implanted shank differs in nothing from care for the replaced sapling. Do distance between plants just the same.
8. If the plants which are grown up from seeds or shank have kept all signs of grade, then from one tree you will collect 20-30 kg of nuts. At not kept grade, and it happens rather often, fruits will be very small and in very small amount. It is better to remove such plant at once that further it was not necessary to root out powerful root system.
