Today it is quite difficult to imagine interior of office, the apartment or house without computer chair which serves as the great place for work and rest, creating at the same time the atmosphere of comfort and emphasizing individual style of all space. But as well as any other subject of interior, chair fails over time. Most often it is required to replace its crosspiece, this part is most subject to breakages.
- - cross screw-driver;

- - hammer.
1. The crosspiece of chair can be manufactured of metal or plastic. Diameter can be: 580, 600, 680 mm. On the chairs intended for children crosspieces of smaller diameter are installed, and big – on office chairs. If the plastic crosspiece is capable to sustain the loading reaching 100 kg, then metal is 20 kg more. At the same time plastic breaks much more often therefore it is the best of all to replace it with the crosspiece from steel.
2. Replacement of the crosspiece begins with dismantling of old. It will be necessary to remove it so that not to damage the body of the gas-lift which is installed in the middle of the crosspiece. In this case it is impossible to use all the force, otherwise not only the gas elevator, but also all mechanism of rise and lowering of computer chair will be damaged.
3. Take out rollers from the old crosspiece and remove topgan which fastens to seat by means of four bolts. Topgan remove from the gas-lift several weak blows of the hammer to perimeter. Besides, the broken crosspiece can be sawn normal hacksaw. You can remove the gas-lift in two ways: from the body or from the crosspiece.
4. In the center of the repaired crosspiece the ring with five ledges, used for fixing of plastic casing is located. By means of flat blade screwdriver pick up ring and unbend edge of one of them. After that accurately shift casing in order that it was easier to remove its edge from ledge. This procedure will need to be repeated for all five plastic casings.
5. Now from the steel body take out stubs then insert new here. Put on beams of the new crosspiece on one casing and fix them on the ledges of stopper ring which are specially intended for this purpose. In new stubs establish wheels and sit down on chair to check its serviceability.
