If at you have found leak of cooling liquid or have heard uncharacteristic noise during the work of water pump - most likely you should replace it. Replacement of the water pump - process rather laborious and demanding responsible approach. But, if desired, it is quite possible to replace water pump with the hands.

1. Raise the right side of your car by means of jack and enclose under it wooden chock. Turn off attachment bolts of front right wheel and remove it. Open cowl. Dismantle side pad of the engine and remove the plastic casing which is under car wing. Disconnect terminals from the accumulator and take the storage battery.
2. Substitute the tanks prepared in advance and accurately merge cooling liquid.
3. Unscrew fastening bolts of pulley, holding it with the screw-driver. Remove pulley of the crankshaft and belt of the generator drive. Turn off the fastening bolt connecting tension level of the generator to pump cover. Remove the generator from the engine and dismantle level, having removed it from pin.
4. Turn off the nuts holding pump cover. Remove spring washers and uncover, having picked up it the screw-driver. Remove the laying established between the engine block and the body of water pump. Clean the body from residues of sealing material.
5. Take new laying and dress it on pump cover. Remove old sealant from thread and from openings under bolts. Apply thin film of new sealant. Make assembly of all elements upside-down.
6. Check and correct tension of the drive belt of the generator.
7. Fill in new cooling liquid. Remove the air locks which have arisen in the cooling system. Start the engine and make sure of lack of leakages.
