Having appeared in Russia quite recently, zamiokulkas has at once entered the list of the most popular house ornamental plants. Zamiokulkas not only will perfectly add interior of any apartment, but also will become the real mascot bringing it to inhabitants wellbeing and confidence in tomorrow.
Leaving for zamiokulkasy, or dollar tree, is not difficult and it is not obligatory to be the expert in the sphere of crop production at all successfully to part it in flowerpot in the conditions of the city apartment. All leaving for zamiokulkasy comes down to its timely watering and periodic fertilizing by mineral and organic fertilizers.
Absolutely differently the situation is with change of dollar tree. Correctly to replace zamiokulkas – it is necessary to try very much as at this plant rather fragile root system which can be damaged inadvertently.

In order that change of dollar tree has taken place successfully, it is necessary to follow the following rules: - the soil at change needs to be used only friable and easy that when watering water freely got to the root system of plant; - to loosen soil in which the plant will change, follows with use of small haydite; - on pot bottom with soil for zamiokulkas it is necessary to fill drainage layer, height of drainage should not exceed the fourth part of height of capacity; - the soil for change of zamiokulkas has to be carefully fertilized, as a part of such soil peat, humus, the turf and the sheet earth has to contain; - change of young dollar tree should be made at least once a year if plant adult, it is necessary to replace it time in two-three years. Change of zamiokulkas differs a little from change of other plants as the root system at it has quite gentle structure. Not to damage root, the plant should be passed in other pot, in other words – to replace, without destroying earth lump with roots.
Change after purchase
Change of dollar plant should not be done at once after it has appeared in the house. It is necessary to give to plant the chance to adapt to growth in new conditions and such adaptation, as a rule, takes not less than two weeks. It is not recommended to contain dollar tree in clay pot as at change it is rather heavy to extend it from this capacity. For the maintenance of zamiokulkas it is necessary to use only plastic pot which if necessary can be cut and to accurately take earth lump with roots. If the plant has been delivered from abroad, to replace it is necessary (to pass) it immediately. Such haste is explained by the fact that for transportation of plant special chemicals which give it the chance long time to do without watering usually add to soil. If the dollar tree constantly contains in the soil saturated with these substances, it soon will wither and will die.
