1. Sewing of covers on sofa will help you not only to update exterior of sofa, but also it is essential to save the family budget. Because the good sofa costs expensive, and covers can be sewed independently. It is absolutely simple!
2. So, first, we choose fabric for our future covers. Fabric has to be strong, it is desirable not fleecy. Especially consider this aspect if you have pets. Otherwise over fleecy covers you will have layer of wool and down. Select color of fabric according to interior. Do covers bright if in general in the room there are no bright spots and light monophonic wall-paper and vice versa. It is better to make monophonic sofa if room walls bright, or multi-color.
3. The bought fabric on covers needs to be washed and dried up that when washing covers there was no unforeseen shrinkage of fabric.
4. We measure fabric on covers. It in many respects depends on sofa design. All to make rectangular templates easier, and then ""to adjust"" them directly on sofa. Allowances for seams in this case should be done rather big, 5-6 cm.
5. After cutting of approximate templates - we display fabric on sofa face side down, we chop off special sewing pins and we sweep away directly on sofa our future covers (it is better to sweep away contrast thread that it it was visible).
6. Then we stitch on the machine and again we dress cover on sofa. We correct, we hem, we cut off excess fabric and, thus, for several fittings we lead up cover until ready.
7. It was necessary to remove smetochny threads - and the cover is ready for sofa.
