Instruction
1. Begin preparation of pickups for curtain with thorough selection of materials. It is recommended to apply dense fabric or to combine easy cloth with thick lining. If you want to make part with the large drawing, choose the cloth allowing to symmetrize it on two pickups.
2. Envelop fabric sample for sewing of pickups around curtain and estimate its exterior. If material suitable, do pattern. According to standards, the holder for curtains do 10 cm in width and about 30-40 cm in length. Modify its size individually, moving cut on curtain and trying various draperies – from simple bendings to magnificent folds.
3. Make pattern of four parts for future pickups of parent material with allowances for seams of 1-1.5 cm. Itself can simplify task, having made 2 rectangles and having put everyone in half. If necessary you will find two linings without allowances.
4. Sew pickups by one of ways: 1) Put lining on inner side of half of pickup and sew it imperceptible stitches in the area of bend of allowances for seams. Stitch pickup parts, having left one part open. Iron seams and turn out finished product it is available. Tack the open party concealed joint.2) put rectangular pattern in half and turn in allowances inside, having ironed out pickup on edge of podgibka. On seams sew decorative ribbon or inlay; it process the opposite edge of the holder. It is possible to do without additional accessories if to process edges of part strong decorative line.
5. Make fastener on buttons or rivet buttons on the ends of pickups. For the best fixing of curtains on the opposite sides of walls attach special metal hooks for pickups. Choose them in shops of sewing accessories from various options: for example, chromeplated or under tree; in the form of various figures which can become important interior accent.
