1. Mark the place for future path on all its length. For this purpose it is possible to hammer pegs into the earth or if the soil is not set with plants, to draw lines by hand any sharp object. It is not obligatory to observe the identical width of path on all way at all, it is possible to narrow and expand marking, but to consider at the same time, it will be how convenient to go on footpath or to carry, for example, carts with tools or wheelbarrows with sand. Standard width varies within one meter.

2. By means of shovel skim soil. Ditch depth under the basis has to be 20-25 centimeters. Do not throw out the removed soil, it can be used for country works.

3. Level bottom of the prepared trench and condense it a little, having just passed across "course" of path. For the best withdrawal of water during rains it is possible to provide biases approximately by 2 degrees in advance. During their creation it is better to use level.

4. Establish border for footpath. For the purpose of economy of means and time some summer residents neglect this part. However the border will give accurate look to all construction and will strengthen path borders, will not allow it to creep away in the parties from loadings over time. For sides it is possible to take special border tape, ready border from artificial materials or normal brick.

5. Fill "pillow" for sidewalk covering. It can be the crushed stone or gravel (size of 3-5 cm) filled by layer in 10 centimeters. This material will act as drainage during rains and thawing of snow. To strengthen "pillow", fill up it with sand and water from watering can – so sand will fill all slots between stones. Then walk on crushed stone the manual device for ramming. The following five-centimetric layer – mix of sand and cement in the ratio 12:1. It needs to be stamped and humidified too.

6. From above lay material for path. Here the choice depends on your preferences and functions of the footpath – it is possible to take gravel, natural and artificial stone, paving slabs and even the trunks sawn on thin layers and branches of tree.

7. In intervals between plates fill up sand, water and stamp path, adding embankment in process of its consolidation. Instead of sand it is possible to fill emptiness with fertile soil and to sow lawn grass.
