Glass blocks apply to the device of transparent partitions and to filling of apertures in external walls. They cannot perform function of load bearing walls as are not capable to maintain heavy loads. It is possible to use them and as decorative element in bathrooms.

- - finish.
Instruction
1. Before laying of glass blocks make sure that the basis absolutely equal. It is impossible to build construction from glass blocks if have revealed big curvature of surface of floor. The wall to which glass blocks are joined has to be strictly vertical.
2. Stack glass blocks, using modular system (frame frame) from tree or plastic which will allow to create equal seams and will increase mounting speed.
3. Attach it to floor, ceiling and wall screws. The partition made by means of modular system has to be no more than four square meters.
4. The module has grid appearance with cells, insert into them glass blocks and fix by rubber gaskets. The design is good the fact that blocks can be rearranged if necessary.
5. Begin mounting of glass blocks on cement slurry with laying of two reinforcing rods on the prepared dashing about of floor in 1.5 cm from edges of partition. They have to be galvanized or from stainless steel with a diameter of 3 mm.
6. In places of adjunction to wall fix the reinforcing elements. Except horizontal rods establish also vertical.
7. By means of trowel apply solution on the basis, having evenly distributed it on surface.
8. Using the level and lighthouses, lay out starting lower row. Stack glass blocks as bricks, it is strictly horizontal on solution layer.
9. Regulate thickness of seams special crosses (lighthouses) which place in joints between glass blocks. Blocks should not concern the reinforcing rods.
10. All grooves have to be densely filled with solution. Wipe the soiled front surface of the block with damp sponge.
11. And on the basis of the prepared following glass block apply cement slurry on the laid-out row. Press blocks to the leveling lighthouses. You can stack, creating horizontal and vertical light strips.
12. Do not stack a day more than three rows in height. The glass block skhvatyvaniye with cement will require time well to dry out. Having ended laying, make finish of seams.
