Need for pasting of panels of film for greenhouses arises quite often: at gaps after long storage or the wrong mounting, at covering of the wide greenhouse when there are not enough standard dimensions. All options of pasting are simple and available to application in living conditions.
Hot ways of pasting
Application of the most widespread method of pasting requires the iron or the soldering iron and (optional, but it is desirable) ftoroplastovy tape. It is also possible to use the iron roller heated to 250C. Impose adherend panels at each other and through ftoroplasovy tape slowly you drive the iron, or soldering tip. Width of overlap has to be 1-2 cm. If there is no ftoroplastovy tape, then also normal paper or even strip of the newspaper which needs to be folded double will approach. Before pasting it is the best of all to be trained to pick up optimum hold time. You carry out process of pasting together: the assistant has to stretch film, at the same time smoothing it. After business is completed, do not hurry to tear off paper strips, otherwise it is possible to damage film.
The second method consists in use of wide strips of metal (5-10 cm) and blow torch. Clamp two adherend panels between strips of metal and equal surface so that the overlap in 1-1.5 cm has turned out. Further heat this place by means of blow torch, being careful not to overheat metal and not to melt film under it.
Cold ways of connection
The polyethylene film can be connected to the help of various glue structures: "Moment", BF-2, BF-4. Before pasting process surfaces of panels (places of pasting) chromic anhydride (25% solution). If it is supposed to connect polyamide film, then PK5 glue is required. In this case after pasting the seam needs to be ironed the iron heated to 50-60C. If glue in general is absent, and the film should be connected, then it is possible to use "national" means: the concentrated acetic acid (80%) or xylol. Anyway at first the position of joint needs to be warmed up up to the temperature of 70-75C. During the work with these structures it is necessary to be careful. Sometimes it is possible to find the special superglue intended for pasting of polyethylene film in garden shops. This chemical has no smell, is stored beyond all bounds long, at the same time connection turns out equal, strong. The bottle with a capacity of 50 ml is enough for connection of seam 1 cm wide and 15-20 m long. It is worth remembering that not all glues are suitable for connection of film; for example, any kinds of thermoglue will not approach. On the other hand, good results show the structures applied in advertizing to fastening of strips of banners: for example, Sadolin which suits for pasting even of thick film of PVC.
