Advantages of films to reservoirs, besides their environmental friendliness and durability, also that with their help it is possible to create reservoir of any form, depth and size. The good film is resistant to influence of sunshine, high pressure and temperature drops, it can be stacked and stuck together even in the winter. Material is also favorable for cultivation of fishes and plants.
Selection of film
Film material is protected from adverse effect of ultraviolet and seaweed. The type of film is chosen depending on pond depth. If reservoir depth up to 75 cm, keeps within film of PVC 0.5 mm thick if depth up to 1.5 meters is supposed, in this case the film of PVC 1 mm thick is more appropriate, and for ponds with depth over 1.5 meters it is recommended to use butilkauchukuvy film of EPDM.
Preparatory stage
It is the best of all to stack film uniform piece, but if there is no such opportunity, then film it is possible to stick together and achieve the necessary size. Before pasting it is necessary to clean surfaces of both pieces of material from dust and dirt. Also it is necessary to process adherend pieces cleaning structure. The space in ditch for laying of film should be cleared away from stones and roots of trees. The bottom follows as it is possible to level better and whenever possible to make sandy pillow. Under connecting edges of films it is necessary to enclose boards. After completion of works they can be not removed, over time they will decay. Then to arrange two pieces of film with an overlap one on another (width of overlap has to be not less than 7.5 cm).
Material joint
When pasting film of EPDM, special construction adhesive on the basis of neoprene or tape which consists of the same components, as film is used. Film PVC best of all connect among themselves to the help of glue-sealant or special glue (for PVC pasting). Further glue is applied with layer up to 1 mm thick, and at once on both parties which need to be stuck together. It is necessary that time of their drying has coincided. It is necessary to give minutes ten for drying-out of glue and to connect the upper edge of film to lower. After that to roll all surface of pasting by the silicone roller, at first across, and then along skleechny seam on all length. It is necessary to press the roller that bubbles and folds have left rather strongly. At the final stage of pasting it is necessary to walk on all seam regional sealant and to level it the plastic palette. Thus, reliable and smooth connection as a result will turn out.
