There is large number of grades, forms and flowers of pumpkin, and at all not all types of this vegetable are eaten. Pumpkin is well used in cookery practically worldwide. From it cook tasty useful porridge, cook soups, squeeze out juice and add to dessert. However not only pumpkin, but also the sunflower seeds which are contained inside is useful. They are eaten as antivermicular and antiemetic.

1. There are winter grades of pumpkin and summer. It is possible to store them in any cool place several weeks and even months, but it is impossible to store in the fridge. The perfect place for storage of pumpkin is, of course, cellar. But if you do not have cellar, pumpkin can be stored on the glazed loggia.

2. It is important to remember that it is better to save winter grades of pumpkin from direct sunshine. Therefore arrange pumpkin fruits on racks fruit stems up, and the main thing that they did not adjoin sides with each other.

3. From above pumpkin needs to be covered with fabric or straw. If temperature falls by loggias lower than +2 degrees, so pumpkin needs to be covered more warmly.

4. There are such grades of pumpkin which can be stored without damage at the room temperature in house conditions.

5. It is possible to store the cut pumpkin in the fridge only 3-4 days. If you want to prolong storage of pumpkin, it needs to be peeled also sunflower seeds and to remove in the fridge.

6. Optimum temperature for storage of fruits of pumpkin – 8-10 degrees. Relative air humidity – 70-80%.
