Growth of thefts from garages forces many motorists to take additional measures for strengthening of such constructions. It concerns both separate metal designs, and capital brick. At the same time there is no need to turn garage into unapproachable fortress, it is enough to create for malefactors situation when any attempts to get into the room where the car is stored, are vain.
Instruction
1. Survey design of the garage. Any construction has weak spots which the malefactor if desired can use. Your task is to establish points of possible unauthorized access by breaking or selection of keys.
2. If your garage represents capital concrete construction, make additional cementation of metal hooks in the plates providing overlapping. At opportunity attach hooks by means of welding to frame of gate.
3. For strengthening of walls of garage make metal framework of corners of the suitable size. Scald framework the metal gauze. Optimum, if such strengthening of design is carried out at construction construction. If changes are made to design of already ready construction, it is desirable to build framework indoors if the internal space, of course, allows.
4. For prevention of undermining arrange concrete blind area in front of garage gate. You proceed at the same time from the general degree of structural strength. It does not make sense to do blind area in front of gate of the garage collected from easy metal elements. Level of additional reinforcement has to correspond to building durability.
5. Pay special attention to strengthening of gate of garage as according to the statistics through them illegal penetration is most often carried out. Weld on metal rods which will complicate perepilivaniye upon loops. From reverse side of gate weld also bolts and nuts, having in addition secured loops. It is necessary to weld fastening elements near loops, on frame of gate.
6. For more reliable pressing of shutters to each other arrange eccentric latches. On one of wings of gate weld rather wide metal strip which will not allow to push scrap or other tool between shutters.
7. Cut off loops for the padlock and whenever possible remove in surface of gate, having left the minimum aperture (window) for attaching of the lock; it is even better if gate are equipped not hinged, but two internal laid on locking devices which should be welded on one of wings of gate reliably. Cases when malefactors fixed rope for external loops are known and broke gate by means of the truck.
8. In addition to the described measures install the simple alarm system, for example, ""Howler"" which will work when opening gate if not to disconnect it previously. Provide possibility of shutdown of the alarm system, having disguised the switch.
