Weevils are small bugs wreckers with whom gardeners and gardeners are not by hearsay familiar. Such insects pose serious threat to the plants growing in garden on personal plot, on the balcony. They are dangerous even to room flora therefore it is necessary to struggle with weevils.
It is simple to find presence of weevils: usually in cloudy weather and in the evening these wreckers crowd on sheet plates of the plants which have undergone the attack of these insects. Or it is possible to spread white dense fabric and to trot over it plants - if on floor weevils have lodged, they will surely fall to fabric. Also it is possible to guess presence of misfortune on small holes on leaves.
It is possible to catch weevils from houseplants on the adhesive tape used for catching of flies. Accurately paste it on sheet plates, at the same time there should not be passes which would not be protected by tape. But here only on trunk of plant it is not recommended to glue it. Under flycatcher enclose plastic bags: bugs by all means will get to the trap created by you.
Use self-made traps from crepe paper and burlap. Spread burlap on the soil and cover from above with crepe paper. In the afternoon weevils will gather in trap. In the evening accurately clean traps, and destroy wreckers. At fight against harmful insects in garden use mix of soap, kerosene and drills. Pour a little warm water into small capacity and mix it with liquid soap. If suddenly you had not had liquid soap, replace it with normal laundry soap (grate soap on small grater and dissolve in hot water). Usually for preparation of soap solution use 80-100 g of laundry soap. Add to the turned-out solution to drill (20 g on 10 l of water) and kerosene (200 g on 10 l of water). Intensively mix mix before formation of emulsion. Fill in the prepared solution in the sprayer and process it plants. To protect plant from weevils, plant around it onions or garlic. If raspberry or wild strawberry needs protection against wreckers, near each bush of plant put garlic segment or onions. Zhuchkov frightens off pungent, strong smell therefore cut off at onions and garlic of arrow. Spray plants (during emergence of buds) with special solution. For its preparation mix 10-13 g of powder mustard from 3 l of warm water. It is possible to use also other solution: on 10 l of water take 40 g of laundry soap or 2.5-3 kg of wood ashes. Also effectively spraying of the struck plants potassium permanganate solution (on 10 l of water it is necessary to take 5 g of permanganate of potassium) or infusion of siliculose pepper helps with fight against weevils.
