Annually more than 300 wreckers do to our gardens and kitchen gardens harm. Many of them appear even in the early spring and destroy harvest till late fall.
Carry various bugs weevils who do harm to both fruit-trees, and berry cultures to the most active wreckers. Especially apple-trees and strawberry suffer from them.
Such species of bugs weevils are widespread in our gardens: strawberry weevil, yablonny tsvetoyed, bundle weevil, bukarka, brent and others.
To notice that in kitchen garden such bug very difficult was got, all of them have the tiny sizes and with the naked eye are not looked through. If there is drying and subsidence of color, destruction of buds on apple-trees, formation of small holes on leaves then the weevil grows roots on your personal plot.
1. On fruit-trees of weevils destroy, shaking on panels from synthetic film or other material. Usually this procedure is carried out during swelling or blooming of kidneys, in the morning when air temperature sticks to lower than 10 degrees. After rise of temperature, they scatter on all garden. For this purpose equip the special long sticks wound by soft material not to damage bark of trees. Put with them on branches sharp, but not really heavy blows. The fallen-down bugs are swept away in bucket with water and destroyed.
2. Besides stryakhivaniye from trees still apply chemical medicines, for example petrolphosphate or carbophos. On apple-trees the spraying is made prior to budding, and on cherry - right after blossoming.
3. Also on fruit-trees it is possible to apply glue belts which are established at the beginning of spring, and act after blossoming of trees. The accumulated bugs on belts are destroyed.
4. As is well-known the weevil is negative to smell of onions and garlic therefore the most effective way of fight against weevil on strawberry is landing between ranks of berries of these vegetable cultures. In the fall near strawberry it is possible to dig in the remains of onions peel.
5. Infusion from soap and mustard also allows to reduce significantly the level of weevils in your garden.
6. But the most effective way is manual gathering of these wreckers in kitchen garden. For this purpose use special laying on which it will be possible to shake bugs from strawberry.
7. Very good means is ammonia solution infusion. About two tablespoons on 10 liters of water get divorced. Spraying is made at the time of formation of buds.
Each gardener himself chooses as to him to struggle with weevils on personal plot, but always observe safety precautions during the work with chemical medicines.
