It is necessary to take readings of the electric counter every month. Unfortunately, some residents treat this simple operation negligently. They read out by mistake of the indication of the neighbour's counter, or do not observe at the same time security measure, or at all forget to take of the meter reading.

1. Come to stair enclosure with lamp. Do not use for illuminations counter of match, the lighter, candle at all.
2. Make sure that the counter which readings you are going to take - really yours. For this purpose ask the assistant who is in the apartment to switch on and off periodically any electric heater, for example, the iron, the oil heater, the rangette. That counter at which at the same time account speed intermittently changes - and is yours. At some counters it is expressed in change of rotational speed of disk, at others - in change of frequency of blinking of LED.
3. Make sure that the assistant has switched off the electric heater used for check.
4. Read meter readings. You need only those signs which are located to comma. Write down them.
5. Enter the apartment. Close and lock behind yourself door. Find the receipt on payment of the electric power for the last month. In the corresponding columns enter the current and old indications in the new receipt.
6. Subtract old from the current indications - so you learn how many kilowatt-hours of the electric power have been spent in month. Enter result in the corresponding column of the receipt.
7. Increase result of subtraction by applicable fare. If it is unknown to you, recognize it by phone in the organization serving your house or on the website of the energy company of the city. The sum which is subject to payment will turn out. Also enter it in the corresponding column of the receipt. Remember that in most cases the tariff differs depending on what plates have equipped the house: gas or electric.
8. Make sure that all columns of the receipt are completed correctly. If necessary, repeat calculations and fill out other receipt.
9. Visit the branch of the bank and make in it payment of the electric power according to the receipt.
10. If it becomes clear that consumption of energy in month was overestimated, next month take measures for its decrease.
