Then you can notice on apple-trees in time such disease as mushroom-tinder fungus which grows usually in hollows of trees. Some amateur gardeners consider that such outgrowth protects apple-tree, without allowing to extend hollow, but it is absolutely incorrect. The mushroom expands, causing destruction of wood and exhausting juice from core. So far such outgrowth one, tree still it is possible to save.
It is required to you
- - knife, axe, hacksaw or chainsaw;
- - solution of copper vitriol;
- - garden var;
- - mullein and clay;
- - gearbox oil, rosin, ashes and wax;
- - rigid brush;
Instruction
1. Remove mushroom. If it already odrevesnet, take big knife, hacksaw, hatchet or even the chainsaw. It is necessary to tear down and healthy wood, but tinder fungus should be removed completely, to the clean place.
2. Smooth out wound knife or scraper to healthy wood so that rather smooth and plain surface has turned out.
3. Disinfect wound. For this purpose take 5 percent solution of copper vitriol or creosote and process hollow. Then carefully cover this place. You can make it oil paint or the garden thief. And you can take gearbox oil, rosin, ashes and wax in the ratio 10:6:3:1, to mix and cover wound.
4. There is one more (ancient) option of processing of wound. Knead putty from fresh mullein and clay, having taken components in equal parts. Properly mix everything. On 5 liters of such mix (half-bucket) add 0.5 l of ready solution of copper vitriol (3 percent). Miss the mark the damaged place with the prepared mix.
5. You can process means which was prepared for wound putty, all nearby sites of apple-tree – trunk and branches (only before part it with water, the excessive density is not required any more). The fact is that you can not notice distribution of mushroom-tinder fungus on all tree at once, and such preventive measures will prevent its germination.
6. However it is simple to apply means on bark insufficiently. It is necessary to prepare surface previously. For this purpose take rigid brush (if tree old, and bark on it thick, you can use metal brush or even piece of grid chain-link) and clean off from trunk and branches old bark (without fanaticism, only top, kind of dead, layer). After that you can continue processing.
7. Do not forget to rake up upon completion of all works as rake from under apple-tree old bark and fragments of mushroom-tinder fungus and to burn on fire. It needs to be made for the purpose of destruction of cocoons and eggs of various wreckers and also floccuses (cages) of mushroom.
