The block house is used for registration of interiors and finishing of facades. It is made from natural wood, mainly coniferous breeds. For interior finish of rooms, as a rule, take narrow and rather thin boards, it helps to give to interior the greatest expressiveness.
The choice of block house for finishing
At first it is necessary to choose material for interior finish, at the same time it is necessary to consider for what room it will be carried out. If you are going to make finishing block house in residential building, it is possible to choose any material, being guided by the taste. Most often by production of block house coniferous breeds of tree are used, each of them has features. The pine has unique texture, at fir-tree the set of knots form the original drawing on surface, and the cedar creates peculiar microclimate indoors.
When planning finishing by block house of sauna or bath it is better to avoid use of coniferous breeds of tree, and to stop the choice on deciduous, the aspen, linden and alder belongs to them. When coniferous breeds heat up, they distinguish pitch, it is possible to be soiled by it. Moreover, at such materials high rates of thermal capacity therefore in sweating room they become very hot. If accidentally to touch them, it is possible to get burn.
The maximum width of board for finishing of internal walls has to be no more than 150 mm, it allows to create relief surface, keeping room volume. Finishing should be carried out quality materials, without traces of tools, cracks, decay or blue.
Features of mounting
Regardless of on what surface the mounting of block house will be made, it is always carried out on furring. For this purpose use bars 30-40 cm thick which fix to wall with interval of 50-60 cm, leveling them on height. Before mounting the block house needs to be sustained indoors within several days, so material will gain humidity of the environment. As a rule, mounting of block house in or outside of the house is carried out horizontally on vertical furring, however vertical installation of boards is in some cases applied. It is especially relevant in rooms with high humidity, for example, in baths or saunas. It is so possible to avoid accumulation of water in board grooves which leads to wood destruction. If warming is carried out, then it is necessary to increase thickness of bars. The free space arising at the same time between wall and covering enhances the soundproofing effect. The thorn of the first and the subsequent boards has to be directed to luminous source that will help to make joint of boards less noticeable. Mounting works can be begun both from above, and from below. Most often use fastening by means of the nail or the self-tapping screw installed in thorn at an angle special brackets and klyaymer are also for this purpose applied. When the covering is complete, it is desirable to protect it from influence of moisture and dust, having processed is delicious, mordant or wax.
