Repair of equipment, machines and mechanisms which are used on seasonal dachas represents regular work on untwisting and twisting of screws, bolts and nuts. In certain cases fixing parts so strongly "stick" to the place what to disconnect in their traditional way very not easy. To turn off the broken nut, it is necessary to use some knowledge.
It is required to you
- - metal brush;
- - WD-40 liquid;
- - box wrench;
- - extension wrench;
- - chisel;
- - hammer.
Instruction
1. To save itself from doubtful pleasure to turn off the broken nuts or bolts, it is necessary to show foresight. If you have undertaken wrench and have found out that fixture has rusted and from the first does not give in to influence of the tool, do not make excessive efforts, and stop better.
2. For a start clean the acting end of the threaded connection with metal brush. Then apply several drops of kerosene on the place of thread, and it is even better – special WD-40 liquid. Wait for 10-15 minutes or even a little more, and then once again try to turn off nut. It is the best of all to use at the same time not normal open-end wrench, but cap.
3. If the nut does not give in also now, try to make counter effect, that is make attempt to slightly wrap nut, but not to turn off it. In most cases such actions allow to remove fixture, without bringing work to fight against stripped thread or the damaged nut edges.
4. If nut edges nevertheless were damaged, use for its untwisting besides box wrench or removable head. Before it slightly tap nut the hammer, trying not to make too heavy blows.
5. In the absence of results use extension wrench or small vice. Densely wrap tool sponges around the deformed nut and turn in the direction of twisting of nut in the beginning, and then in the opposite direction.
6. In particularly complex case use chisel and the hammer for unscrewing of the broken nut. Put chisel to nut at a small angle and weak direct shots try to get moving forward fixture in the direction of untwisting (counterclockwise).
7. If any of the offered ways does not allow to get moving forward nut, it is necessary to take extreme measures: split nut with heavy blows of the hammer to chisel to separate it into parts. In this case, most likely, you will manage to investigate connection, but then it is necessary to change all fixing knot (nut and bolt).
