Instruction
1. Begin restoration of old chair with removal of old upholstery. By means of nail-catcher or the screw-driver remove all nails and paper clips, remove covers. You do not hurry to throw out them, covers still will be useful to you.
2. By means of sponge or brush apply solvent on wooden elements of chair (finishing, armrests) and close them polyethylene film. After a while remove old varnish by means of rags or brush. To reveal structure of tree, clean wooden parts rigid brush. Wipe them with damp sponge and leave for drying.
3. Apply on armrests layer of any water-based paint, the easy dabs which are not covering all surface. Color of paint had to contrasting, but not breaking the general color gamma, for example, darkly brown or black.
4. Having waited for drying, clean off surplus of paint rigid brush. Apply on wooden elements polish on the basis of wax or varnish them.
5. While armrests dry, take old covers, unstitch all seams and on the turned-out patterns cut out new. Select the high quality fabric suitable to your interior. Stitch together all seams and sweep off edges.
6. Cut out parts of the necessary sizes from new sheets of foam rubber. Do not use at all old foam rubber as over time it begins to emit hazardous substances in air. Put the cut parts to chair and gradually cut off all superfluous, creating the necessary image. Consider that volume will a little decrease after obivaniye.
7. If you want to fix upholstery buttons, drill under them through holes in chair back. Buttons can be made independently, for this purpose cut small plywood circles, drill in them openings. Cut out circles several centimeters bigger from upholstery fabric in the diameter.
8. Pass strong kapron cord through openings so that the ends were from inner side, for volume apply small lump of sintepon or cotton wool from face side and close it around from fabric. From reverse pull together edges of fabric and reliably fix by the stapler or threads.
9. Apply foam rollers on chair back, record ropes (temporarily). Put on cover and fix it by the stapler, extend ropes that they did not spoil overall view of chair. Then likewise fix cover on seat and armrests.
10. Pass in the cords which are passed through button, needle with big ear and stretch them through back, through the drilled opening. Pull them and fix, the stapler or by means of knots. Then close back wall of chair any fabric. The updated chair will serve to you still for many years.
