Cultivation of seedling by means of peat tablets – rather new agrotechnical reception which was already in time to win, however, popularity among gardeners thanks to ease in application and reliability. However the instruction on packing not always fully explains, how exactly it is necessary to use peat tablets to achieve the best result.
Instruction
1. Torfoperegnoyny tablets are the peat pressed in the form of washer or the coir fiber on the parties fitted by thin grid from natural material. Height of each washer – is less than a centimeter. The tablets prepared for disembarkation are almost ideal environment for growth of seeds as perfectly hold moisture, pass air, exclude emergence of fungi.
2. Before planting seeds, to implant shanks or leaves of flowers, place tablets in the corresponding container (plastic pallet, transparent container, the cut-off plastic bottle) and fill in with water. Within 10-20 minutes of tablet will bulk up, having increased in height more than by 5 times.
3. After process of swelling comes to the end, place seeds or shanks in special deepenings on upper part of tablets and cover them with peat. It makes sense to stack more valuable seeds on one on tablet, and less expensive – on 2-3. In the second case after sprouts ascend, it will be necessary to remove the weakest of them.
4. It was necessary only to sign each capacity with seedling to avoid confusion, and to provide to your plants necessary microclimate. If you have mini-greenhouse or box with heating and cover, then it will be simpler to solve this problem, but it is possible to use any transparent capacity. There will be no illumination lamps also superfluous. In general, care for saplings in peat tablets almost does not differ from normal care for seedling. Consider that in the first 10-15 days you should not use mineral fertilizers as plants quite will have internal stock of tablets. Water them with normal water from spray, but avoid overwetting.
5. Change (sword-play) of seedling will not be required. As soon as you see that roots of plants have seemed outside of tablet, move sapling together with peat tablet to bigger pot with soil, cover with the earth and accurately trample down. Opportunity to avoid change, so to increase survival of plant is one more plus of use of peat tablets.
