How to vacuumize the conditioner

How to vacuumize the conditioner

Pumping out of the conditioner - constituent part of high-quality mounting of the unit. If installation is conducted independently, it is necessary to know features of process.

Pumping out of the conditioner to tell its routes, more precisely, it is made during mounting or repair. The purpose of this process consists in elimination of moisture and the air which has got in the device. If not to make it, then there will be hashing of common air and coolant that will change properties of the last, and, not to the best. Bad refrigerating capacity and reduction of life cycle of the unit will become result.

Pumping out

Work requires the vacuum pump (or vakuumator) which joins special port of the external device of the conditioner (use hose of yellow color). When choosing the pump you look at its power which has to be not less than the power of the conditioner. Also pay attention to the residual pressure of vakuumator – the it less, the better. Further attach collector of measuring device (manometer) by means of the low-pressure hose having blue coloring. Now open valve of low pressure and turn on the vacuum pump for not less than 15 minutes. Close valve and only then disconnect vakuumator. After that it is possible to start freon in contour, - for this purpose it is enough to turn valves on the conditioner by means of hexagon.

Part of assemblers prefers to be guided by manometer pressure: when falling its value below "0" process of pumping out is finished. However it is wrong: moisture is present at any air, and time of vakuumation cannot be less than 15 minutes.

Freon expulsion and refueling

One more widespread mistake – attempt of removal of air by means of freon expulsion; it is carried out, having opened valve and having slightly turned off one of clamps which then is put. After such "operation" in system there is moisture which is capable to oxidize copper tubes, to hammer TRV (temperature-controlled valve) and even to damage the compressor. At the plant the conditioner is filled at the rate on 5 m of length of the route. The specific quantity is specified in the instruction and is from 5 to 20 on meter. If the route is longer than 5 meters, then the unit should be refueled, otherwise receive power loss. It is possible to check it by turning on of the conditioner (cooling mode) and temperature measurement at the exit which has to be 0C or is slightly higher. Negative temperature speaks about need of refueling. In the same way it is possible to check operation of the conditioner in the heating mode.
