The penthouse is garret floor under pitched roof. Earlier in penthouses there lived people of creative professions: artists, sculptors, writers. Now it became prestigious and fashionable to live in such rooms if the penthouse is qualitatively constructed and well warmed.
It is required to you
- - heater: mineral wool, thin heater or extruded polystyrene foam;
- - aluminum foil or any other moisture isolating material;
- - brackets for fastening of panels;
- - galvanized or corrosion-proof nails, or screws with large hats
- - hammer.
Instruction
1. For a start choose heater. That to make it, it is necessary to consider several factors: compliance of heater to climatic zone in which you live. Material selection and way of fastening depends on type of rafters which is used in construction: at uneven arrangement of rafters choose mineral wool or thin heater, at normal arrangement of rafters – extruded polystyrene foam.
2. If the additional space is necessary, choose thinner type of heater. Make choice for internal or external way of warming.
3. Prepare penthouse for warming. For this purpose carefully check condition of all constructive parts and correct malfunctions because after heater fixing it cannot be made. If you have chosen mineral wool as heater, use aluminum foil or other moisture isolating materials. Before installation of cotton wool attach them from the heated side of the room.
4. When choosing as heater of mineral wool, cut panels on triangles for more convenient installation them between rafters. Put the first layer of heater. For this purpose insert vatu between rafters that the rectangle from two triangular pieces has turned out.
5. For the second layer establish special brackets for fastening of panels from mineral wool at distance of 59 cm from each other. Establish plates from cotton wool one on another by means of these fastenings.
6. Extruded polystyrene foam can be established by means of nails and brackets. In the first way attach panels nails to rafters through 30 cm one from another. Using the second method, fix brackets to rafters by nails and insert the panel. Place the second panel in groove of the first, attach bracket on the panel and beat it.
