Unpleasant this event – freezing of water in pipes. You open the crane, and instead of normal strong stream see quickly running low thin stream. It is even worse if the heating services pipe peremerzat, this fact in general is capable to cast into panic. However do not spend in vain time for experiences, the situation demands immediate actions. The earlier you start defrosting, the quicker it will be possible to restore water circulation and to prevent rupture of pipes.

- - gas cutting;
- - heater cable for pipes;

Instruction
1. Define the site which has frozen, and provide access to it (remove the disturbing objects, dig out trench, remove isolation and so forth).
2. The most known, the tested and certain way – defrosting of pipe by means of hot water. It is especially convenient for application in case the frozen pipe is in the house. Envelop the frozen part rags, reeling up them on pipe. Water rags with hot water. If it is possible, bring hot water to the frozen site by means of flexible hose. If it cannot be made, heat water on plate or elektroteny and you bring in bucket. The teapot with nose is convenient for watering. Very important condition – water has to be hotter, it is the best of all – boiled water. It is desirable to spill all frozen site at once. If it too long, begin to warm from water supply. Watering, do not forget about neighbors from below. In order to avoid course of water spread as much as possible rags that they absorbed the flowing-down water under pipe. From time to time unscrew rags over basin.
3. The defrosting of pipes naked flame – blow torch, welding torch (is effective at small giving of combustible structure), torch. Warming up pipe, move flame on the frozen site, since the party of water supply. This way – the best for otogrev of pipes outdoors, in trench, for example. But it does not suit for otogrev of plastic pipes. At its application in the house take care of fire safety. Enclose metal sheet which will cut flame from combustible designs under the warmed-up pipe, cool it with water.
4. It is possible to warm pipe, using hair dryers (technical and household). By means of dense material or film create over the frozen pipe the isolated space – something like casing or the spacious sleeve closed on the one hand. Pump up the hair dryer in near-pipe space hot air. This way is not so fast and effective as it previous, but at the correct use is quite capable to help.
5. Though not really fast, the way of otogrev of the frozen place heater cables for pipes is rather reliable. Densely envelop the frozen pipe aluminum foil or the glued aluminum film. Envelop spiral around pipe heater cable, attach it to pipe adhesive tape. That the cable at the same time was not damaged, the step of spiral has to be not less than 80-100 mm. The cable sensor regulating its automatic shutdown has to adjoin to pipe densely. To exclude heat waste, over cable and pipe lay some heater. Include cable in network. After certain time (it is difficult to tell in advance – what) the water circulation will be restored.
6. One of extraordinary and unsafe methods is having warmed pipes by means of the welding machine. Attach device wires ("earth" and wire of the holder of electrodes or "plus" and "minus") to the ends of the frozen site. Turn on the device in network for about 30 seconds then make small pause – and again include. At first it is necessary to establish rather small welding current (80-100 A) if the effect is absent (the pipe has to be heated), raise its value. Shortcomings of this way: big supply voltage interruption during turning on of the device, possibility of its exit out of operation as a result of burn-out. The method is not effective at the large diameter of pipes and the long site of freezing.
