Putty of intertiled seams – important stage of repair work: well executed finish will disguise all defects, and badly made – will grease even the most faultless laying of tile. But even if the finish has been made professionally, it needs to be washed correctly from tile.
It is required to you
- - grater;
- - sponge;
- - container with water;
- - abrasive grater;
- - dry finish or sawdust;
- - rags.
Instruction
1. Execute dry cleaning of surplus of putty: for this purpose the grater is required. Dispose grater at right angle to ceramic tile which surface you will clean. Remove with the smooth movement residues of putty, moving at the same time grater on diagonal in relation to the located seam nearby. After such cleaning give time to the finish put in intertiled seams to dry up.
2. Wet sponge in water and properly wring out it. Then carry out by damp sponge on surface of tile which has been smeared by putty. If the finish from seams tries to keep step with sponge, so it is necessary to wait a little more until putty dries up as it has insufficiently well grabbed. To tile surface sedum from the smeared finish you see off when make sure that the finish in seams at contact with damp sponge is not smeared on tile, and remains on the place.
3. If from the moment of processing of seams there has passed a lot of time, and putty has dried on tile surface, then for its removal use special abrasive grater. Such grater will excellently cope with purification of the dried-up putty and at the same time, unlike other graters, will not scratch surface of ceramic tile. After on tile surface you have walked abrasive grater, wipe tile with damp sponge.
4. For purification of putty it is possible to use also other methods. For example, strew dry finish or sawdust over the seams processed by putty: it will allow to remove excess moisture. Then well the released rags process surface of ceramic tile.
