For some reason in consciousness of many gardeners there was opinion that grapes very hygrophilous plant therefore they try to water it as often as possible. It is incorrect. From the surface of the damp soil there is continuous evaporation of moisture that causes soil overcooling. It leads to the fact that the vegetative period of grapes increases.
Instruction
1. When grapes are not watered, its powerful roots direct in search of moisture down, the plant is capable to give to drink itself independently. However, it does not mean at all that it is necessary to forget about watering absolutely. It has to be, but, first, moderated, secondly, correct. At frequent watering, roots of grapes develop in the horizontal plane close to earth surface. In the winter when freezing they can just die.
2. At the big areas of vineyards the watering of plants is made in the mechanized way. Previously in row-spacings plow lay furrow, then from the watering machine through hose start water. Having filled with water furrow, move to other area.
3. On small garden sites where the vineyard with small amount of bushes is put, the watering is made according to the scheme. That watering has brought the maximum benefit to plant, it is necessary to plant correctly at laying of vineyard grapes saplings.
4. Landing holes of 30х30х30 cm in size row. The bottom of hole is filled up with beaten brick without the remains of lime mortar, the brick is powdered with clay and sand layer, from above covered garden with earth. The sapling together with lump of the earth is established in landing hole and filled up with mix of the garden earth with ashes. On surface leave radical trunk with two kidneys. The radical earth is formed in the form of plate and watered directly in plate.
5. In the spring when the risk of return of frosts already disappears, it is necessary to remove from grapes bushes winter covering from cold weather. To tie up grapes rods to lanes and it is possible to make the first spring watering. For this purpose around plate do several superficial poles where pour in water.
6. The second time plant is watered in two weeks prior to blossoming of grapes. The third time watering is made when ovaries of grapes are in stage of peas. As soon as berries begin to gain color, watering needs to be stopped.
7. If to water grapes during maturing of berries, then they will turn out watery and unsweetened. In the fall in two weeks before rods of grapes warm from winter frosts, it is necessary to carry out the last autumn watering of grapes.
8. Usually such scheme of watering is observed for table grades of grapes. Application of such scheme of watering and for young bushes of grapes of technical grades is possible. Adult bushes of technical grade of grapes water only once – in the fall.
