Yucca - the evergreen plant with the prickly sharpened leaves reminding small palm tree or dragon tree. The plant has got to us from North America. Put on the site, in the greenhouse or in house pot, it requires special care.

1. If your yucca grows not in the room, it should be sprayed actively from the thin spray with warm boiled water. However during spraying of yucca at bright sunlight on its chuvsvtiyetlny leaves there can be dark stains from burns.

2. The most widespread room species of yucca of ""shower"" do not demand - enough normal waterings. In warm season the yucca needs a lot of water, - but it is necessary to water it only after the top soil in pot dries approximately on 5 cm in depth. At moderate temperature of the house (+18-+20 degrees) the yucca is watered approximately once a week. On 10 liters of soil it is worth using 2-2.5 liters of the settled water of room temperature. If summer roast, plant it is necessary ""to give to drink"" more often, however between waterings the earth in pot has to dry up. In the rest of the time of year the watering of yucca has to be moderate (in the winter watering is reduced), otherwise from stagnation of water in substrate its roots decay, and the plant can die.

3. If in the soil there is too many water, the yucca can ache. The increased humidity of the earth and even air causes fungal and bacterial diseases which are shown in the form of grayish-brown spots on leaves. The spoiled leaves should be removed quickly. The yucca should be not watered temporarily, only to spray with system fungicide.
