LED luminous sources make not only in the form of lamps, but also in version of the flexible printed circuit board covered with silicone layer. Such tapes have become widespread in the industry of illuminated signs and dressing because of their durability and universality.
Structurally LED tape represents the printed circuit board which components are applied on the flexible basis. The payment includes the LED crystals covered with phosphor of different shades, current limiting resistors and conducting paths. These elements are hidden in more thickly silicone, than their full protection against influences of the external environment is provided.
LED tapes have appeared after lamps of the same type and at once have become widespread. One-color tapes are arranged more simply than the others. Standard LEDs in them have the low cost and small energy consumption that does monochrome tape by the most widespread luminous source such. It is also possible to refer their minimum heating and simplicity of operation to pluses. LED tapes of this kind usually find the application in illumination of plasterboard ceilings and niches or in static registration of facades.
In some tapes the normal LEDs replace with semiconductors with light radiation of the increased brightness. They have the light temperature close to maximum, and the bigger size, than standard. The main plus of such tapes - very bright luminescence and saturated luminous flux that allows to apply them as the main source of lighting in buildings. Of course, they differ in big energy consumption and stronger heat up during the work.
In color tapes the luminous sources have more difficult design. The shining element in them consists of three LEDs of red, blue and green colors to which, in the most modern products, add one or two LEDs sterilely of white color. Changing tension on each line it is possible to achieve any RGB shade that is irreplaceable at the embodiment of difficult design delicacy in light decorative registration. Such tapes are run by digital or analog controllers that allows to unite work of large number of light devices under one authority.
