Features of marbled decorative plaster
Marble walls are capable to make any interior more distinguished and noble, beginning from classic style and finishing with modernist style. Imitation of different stones allows to create the atmosphere of antiquity. It is possible to choose imitation of any stone, for example onyx, opal, classical marble and its rare grades.
There are several types of marbled plaster, they differ from each other in patterns and coloring. It can be pink, agate, gray, white stone. To add to walls special refinement, it is possible to use red marble with white streaks, metal impregnations, golden or platinum effect, gloss.
Depth and transparency is inherent to smart "antique" walls, this effect is easily reached thanks to marble crumb from limy or acrylic binding which is part of decorative plaster.
Features of putting marbled Venetian plaster
It is necessary to apply plaster on previously grounded surface. In adverse weather it is better not to put it, it is not recommended to carry out the procedure under the influence of direct sunshine.
Decorative plaster by means of steel grater and metal trowel is applied. After drying-out (30 minutes) it is necessary to carry out finish, further - to correct and smooth the basis. Here the damp grater from stainless steel will help.
The surface has to dry within 24–48 hours. Temperature should not be lower than 5 degrees. Under such circumstances material is distributed evenly, hardens correctly. If after the procedure there were color spots, it is necessary to apply on all surface plaster coat again.
For lustring the surface after finishing of ceiling or walls is rubbed with synthetic or natural, glossy or opaque, transparent or color wax. For this purpose certain skills are required. This equipment still allows to give to ceiling effect of tension - it helps to keep room height.
