Marigold can be seen in each garden. They are called differently: hats, tagetis, velvet ribbons. These are popular unpretentious flowers which enter top 10 list of fashionable annual plants. Selection does not stand still and today the huge choice of grades with various height of plants, with diverse colourings and forms of flowers is provided to flower growers.
In culture about 30 types from which three are widely provided are known: marigold tonkolistny, marigold upright and the marigold rejected.
Tonkolistny or Mexican marigold
This look differs in compactness of bush with gustovetvisty stalks and plumose and sectioned leaves. During blossoming season of plant small, 2-3 cm are entirely covered, in single flowers and remind the blossoming sphere. Decorate with them balconies, grow up in pots, cachepot, land in border tapes. It the plants hospital attendants having the strong bactericidal properties suppressing development of nematodes in the soil. They have no strong specific smell, as at other types. Grades are most widespread:
- Paprika - low on height, only 20-25 cm, has flowers sharlakhovo-red with yellow serdtsevinka, 2 cm in the diameter.
- Lulu - citreous coloring with diameter of flower hats about 3 cm. Plants 30 cm high.
- Ursula - bush 30 cm high with orange-yellow flowers of 3 cm in size.
- Starfayer mix - mix of colourings with flowers of 2 cm in the diameter. Height of plants - about 30 cm.
There are grades from the Semi-precious stone series: Red semi-precious stone, Orange semi-precious stone, Gold semi-precious stone, Lemon semi-precious stone.
The rejected marigold or French
The big assortment on height, from 15-20 cm to 40-45 cm, compact bush and abundant blossoming has this appearance. Grades of the rejected tagetis harmoniously will fit into any bed, miksborder. Flowers can have single hats, gvozdikovidny, hrizantemovidny and have diameter up to 8-9 cm. The most popular grades of the rejected marigold:
- Tangerine - low, 30 cm, with flowers of bright orange coloring, large to 6 cm.
- Carmen - with terry red-brown colors and the yellow center, up to 5 cm, similar to carnation. Height of bushes is 30 cm.
- Durango - inflorescences of anemonovidny form, with height of bush of 25-30 cm and hats of 5-6 cm. Happen yellow and orange coloring.
- Brokada Spanish - undersized, has height of 25 cm. Flowers terry reach 5 cm with red-brown coloring and yellow border on edge of lobes.
- Jolie Jester - height of plants is 65 cm, flowers single with red, orange-yellow strips, very effective.
- The black cardinal - grade with dark cherry, burgundy and velvet coloring and large flowers to 10 cm. Height of bush is 30-35 cm.
- Playful Marietta - bushes compact, 30-40 cm. Flowers the single, 5 cm golden-yellow with red-brown spot in the center.
Grades from this look are effective: Dummy joint Red, Tiger's eyes, Bolero, Dune, Monetta, Brevier.
Upright (African) marigold
The most demanded of marigold. These velvet ribbons form branched bushes, the sclerotic at the basis. Height of plants varies from 15-20 cm to 100 cm and above. In form of inflorescence are divided into groups: hrizantemotsvetkovy, gvozdikotsvetkovy, the mixed type. The modern hybrids which are grown up through seedling quickly blossom, have the form of flowers reminding peonies, carnations, chrysanthemums. Tall grades give the first-class cut.
- Hawaii - inflorescences reaches terry bright orange, 10 cm, bushes in height of 90 cm. Giant grade.
- Kilimanjaro F1 - hybrid of white and cream coloring with gustomakhrovy flowers of 10-12 cm in the diameter. The name of tagetes matches the colors reminding snow mountains.
With white, cream coloring carry grades to grades Alaska, the Eskimo, the Albatross and others.
- Krekergek - has large, to 14 cm gustomakhrovy effective flowers of various coloring from lemon till orange color 70 cm high.
- Hybrid Taishang - with height of bush of 25-30 cm and large flowers of 8-10 cm in size of various citreous shades. Marigold are ideal for borders and landing in pots.
- Sanshayn - grade with dark orange coloring of flower baskets and with a diameter of 10-15 cm. The upright bush, height of plant is 35 cm. One of large-flowered grades in this group.
- Fantastik - treats hrizantemotsvetkovy group. About 70 cm high, diameter of flower is 10 cm. Coloring of flowers orange.
