Painting – inexpensive and available way to put the old or bothered furniture in order. The procedure can quite be carried out in house conditions, but only in the presence of necessary materials and tools.
The main tools for work
All necessary for painting can be bought in construction hypermarkets. Before going to shop, it is necessary to decide on color and texture of furniture, to consider its sizes and other nuances. Are included in the list of the necessary things:
- Qualitative brushes of the different size. They are necessary for accurate pro-paint of corners, joints, other small elements. Thin round brushes will be useful for painting and other options of dressing.
- For paint, capable the tree is qualitative to paint brushes. Products with strong, equal, not too rigid bristle will approach.
- Paint rollers. Apply coat of paint and do not create drips. Products with dense surface, the reliable handle and soft, but not friable covering will approach.
- Paint baths. Are chosen by the size of rollers and brushes. You should not choose too big tanks, they increase consumption of paint and are not too convenient in work.
- Set of abrasive paper of different granularity. In addition it is worth buying the grinder which is quickly smoothing out surface under painting.

It is worth entering the screw-driver or the screw driver for removal of loops, handles, decorative elements in the list of necessary tools. After painting they are fastened back. Processing of big surfaces requires the airbrush which is applying enamel with very thin layer and not leaving drips.
Consumables
During the work not to do without quality materials: solvents, impregnations, hard putty and paint. Acrylic sealant or wax will be suitable for seal of slots and cracks – the choice depends on depth of damages and material of which furniture is made. Pretreatment of wood will require primer. It is better to choose means with antibacterial and antifungal effect.
If small repair is necessary, it is necessary to buy glue. It is the best of all to use joiner's or the PVA construction glue, it more dense and concentrated. Also liquid nails will approach, but when choosing it is necessary to read labels attentively.
Solvent is chosen depending on paint. Usually the producer specifies the correct combinations. Paint just for decoration has to be non-toxic, structures which are used only for external works will not approach.
At repair of furniture it is necessary to take care of protection. The dense packing film is capable to save upholstery and other elements from paint. Also the painting adhesive tape which not only will protect from unnecessary drips is required, but also will help to create the necessary drawing, for example, contrast strips. For protection of skin and respiratory organs the rubber gloves which are densely fitting hands and construction respirators are necessary.
