All houseplants need to be replaced sooner or later. Young plants need change more often than old. To define whether it is necessary to replace plant, get it from pot and check root system. If all lump of the earth is twisted with roots - the plant needs urgent change.
Instruction
1. To replace plant, it is necessary to remove old drainage, to clean earth lump from the earth, to cut off the rotten and damaged roots.
2. In advance prepare pot of the necessary diameter, the earth, haydite, substrate components, sovochek, scissors.
3. New pots from clay before landing need to be soaked, and old properly to wash out in hot water with addition of disinfectant (copper vitriol, solution of chloric lime), and after to dry.
4. Take plant from pot and remove pieces of old substrate, then accurately wash away old soil, having lowered plant in warm water.
5. Now attentively examine all roots. Cut off all rotten and dried backs sharp scissors.
6. Further it is necessary to prepare soil. For this purpose pour out the earth in small capacity, add necessary components of substrate, properly mix. Crush all large lumps of the earth that the friable and homogenous mixture has turned out.
7. Place drainage, then substrate layer on pot bottom, from above fill the earth in the form of small cone.
8. Now slightly powder plant roots with the crushed wood charcoal and lower to the earth. Fill all space of pot, gradually adding soil and slightly stamping it. It is impossible to bury strongly plant and also to bare its roots.
9. Upon termination of change water plant and add a little more soil if necessary.
