Marble crumb – construction and decorative material which is applied to finishing of buildings, sculptures and various elements of decor. It consists of marble granule and acrylic glue binding. Thanks to various coloring, unequal fraction of granules and also high resistance to various influences the marble crumb enjoys wide popularity today.
It is easy to put marble crumb, however this material demands preliminary surface preparation. Then she will lay down even layer and will not crack under the influence of the atmospheric phenomena.
The marble crumb was developed by the Turkish firm Bayramix in 1988.
Surface preparation
Before putting marble crumb, it is necessary to process wall surface or products suitable soil which can be bought in hardware store. For porous surface, for example putty or brick, it is the best of all to use acrylic primer of deep penetration. On exterior and consistence it has similarity to milk and when dries becomes transparent. After acrylic prime coating the surface will become less absorbed, and the marble crumb will strong keep. It is possible to apply soil by means of brush, the roller or sponge.
