Textured plaster call finishing material which part the special additives allowing covering to obtain various configurations are. It can imitate natural stone, sand, tree or stopper, with its help it is easy to create various patterns and relief combinations.
As a part of textured plaster there are additives forming unusual and attractive surface, for example sand, particles imitating marble or impregnations of crushed fines of stone. It is issued in the form of the mix ready for work or solution which needs to be mixed and painted independently colors.
Types of textured plaster
Textured plaster is separated into types depending on its basis and binding substances. This finishing material can differ also in other parameters - relief, structure of fractions, availability of auxiliary additives.
At mineral textured plaster the binding basis represents dry mix from cement. Other excipients are used for giving of elasticity and relief. It is the best of all to apply such material on similar mineral surfaces. Acrylic plasters are best of all combined with the mineral bases, they initially have consistence which allows to use them for carrying out finishing work without preliminary preparation. In this case binding component is acrylic resin. Basis of silicate plaster — special liquid glass, for this reason it is possible to apply it practically to any surfaces. It is resistant to various types of influence and is on sale in look, ready for drawing. Silicone structures are created on the basis of synthetic pitches, they are suitable both for mineral, and for other types of surfaces. They are used not only for rooms, but also for finishing of facades. It is rather simple to work with such plaster as material very flexible.
Textured plaster does not lose the qualities at temperature change or increase in humidity. This strong material is resistant to different mechanical influences, and its surface is easily cleaned from pollution. Even the person with the minimum experience of finishing work is capable to carry out solution laying independently. Its plasticity allows to put several uniform layers and to create unique patterns and reliefs. However, if to use solution, misfitting to structural features of walls, the result will be unsatisfactory, can will appear such defects as swellings, cracks or spallings. For the wall executed from gas concrete, indispensable condition of use of textured plaster is the vapor permeability of material. Otherwise moisture which will gradually destroy covering will collect. Therefore it is very important to pick up correctly structure according to features of surface.
