Only on the soil rich with nutrients it is possible to grow up good harvest of potatoes therefore application of fertilizers in soil in the fall - work which requires special attention. The fact is that for potatoes it is accepted to use organic chemistry, and it manages to decay well from fall till spring and only becomes digestible for potato tubers in the summer.

1. The best fertilizer for potatoes is solomisty manure as contain in it phosphorus, nitrogen, calcium, magnesium, potassium and other substances necessary for normal cultural development. Annual entering of this fertilizer into bed considerably increases permeability of air to the soil, soil becomes more friable, it is gradually filled with humus. As for norms of introduction of manure, it is accepted to display fertilizer on bed before its redigging, and amount of substance - to 10 kg on square meter (depends on condition of soil).
2. Torfonavozny compost - too fine fertilizer, therefore if for any reason there is no opportunity to gain the necessary amount of manure, then it is possible to prepare torfonavozny compost and to use it. If it is correct to make everything, then compost on nutrients will not concede to manure, and it is possible, will even exceed it. So, for preparation of compost it is possible to use both riding, and low-lying peat which humidity from 60 to 70%, peat ratio to manure - 1 to 1. The only thing that should be remembered: it is necessary to do such compost in advance, it is ready only in 6-7 months in cold months, or through 3-4 - in warm. Compost preparation course: the basis of heap is filled up with the 30th centimetric layer of peat, further on peat 10-20 cm manure layer, and on manure - 15-20 cm peat layer keep within. The stack continues to be stacked until its height does not reach 1-1.5 meters, and the last layer surely has to be from peat.
3. Chicken dung - fertilizer which can also be brought in the soil of kartofelnik in the fall, only that should be considered: the amount of this substance has to be two-three times less, than compost or manure. Usually three-five kilograms on square meter happen enough. It is worth remembering that it is better a few ""not to finish feeding"" bed, than to overfeed.
4. Great way to enrich bed with nutrients is landing in the early fall on kartofelnik of siderat - lucernes, rye, oats, clover, peas. Plus procedures are that it helps not only to enrich the soil with nutrients, but also to reduce acidity of soil, to expel from it wreckers. Landing of siderat has to take place not later than month to frosts, and before the frosts it is important to dig over the soil, having tried to dig green part of plants deep into of bed. Sowing of square meter of bed requires about two kilograms of seeds.
