Polyurethane foam represents sealant which is quite often used as adhesive substance. Quite often during construction and repair work it gets on seamy surfaces which are rather difficult for cleaning, without having damaged.
Working with sealant, it is necessary to monitor its accurate drawing. However if it after all has got on surface which was also corrugated, then it is necessary to wipe it as soon as possible.
Than to wipe fresh polyurethane foam?
If polyurethane foam has not managed to stiffen yet then it is possible to remove it by means of special means which sellers suggest to get together with sealants. Means needs to be applied on cotton rag, and then by means of it the seamy surface is carefully processed. It is necessary to trace that from it was not only polyurethane foam, but also yellow raid which always remains from sealant is completely erased. If not to make it, then then it will be extremely difficult to be removed.
Use normal means for washing of glasses. It effectively removes fresh polyurethane foam from seamy surface. Put it in small amount, and then leave for several minutes. Then wipe surface dry cotton rag. If necessary repeat the procedure. It is not necessary to press strongly on seamy surface to exclude its damage.
What to remove the dried-up polyurethane foam with?
The dried-up foam is removed is extremely problematic. Therefore here solvent on the basis of acetone is required. It is applied in small amount on seamy surface. It is left for 1-2 minutes. Then the surface is wiped with damp rag, and the sponge undertakes then, falls to soap solution and it once again carefully processes that place where there was foam. Such approach will allow to wipe it completely. Remove the dried-up foam by means of solution of table salt. Take basin and pour in it 500 ml of water. Then add 50 grams of salt there and carefully mix everything. Apply ready solution on sponge and process it all seamy surface. Leave it for 5-10 minutes then take sponge and wash away the softened foam. Then carefully wipe it the remained parts of sealant. Use normal vegetable oil. It needs to be warmed up a little, and then to apply on seamy surface for 5-10 minutes. Further brush carefully clean off the softened polyurethane foam. Take sponge and soap structure, give by means of them parts of foam which remained in hard-to-reach spots. After the surface is completely cleaned, it will be required to be washed up clear water.
