The stone in landscaping enjoys wide popularity. It speaks simply – he can harmoniously fit into any garden, it is possible not only to pave with it paths, steps and borders, but also to use for finishing of the house, fountains, farm buildings. The stone path will sustain any loadings, keeping original state long time. There are several breeds of stone which are most often used in landscaping.

Granite paths

Granite is considered one of the strongest breeds which part feldspar, quartz and mica is. The color gamma of granite varies from gray to dark burgundy that allows to embody various design decisions. One of the main advantages of granite before other breeds of stone is that it is most resistant to influence of moisture and to temperature drops.

Slate

This rock has layered structure that allows to split slate into uniform plates. Depending on type of slates the degree of their durability and wear resistance varies. If breed too porous, it is in addition processed that exterior remained as long as possible.

Quartzite

Quartzite (quartzitic slate) - is kind of slate and is characterized by the high content of mica. Breed firm and very strong therefore gives in to processing hardly. Quartzite the beautiful drawing, and can have gray shades, greenish, red or white. Paths from quartzite will serve very long, pleasing with high quality and fine exterior.

Sandstone

This stone is softer than quartzite or granite, but is not less durable. It is easy to process it, giving any forms. At sandstone rich color gamma – pale-yellow, pink, light yellow or gray-green.

Shungit

This breed is often used for registration of garden tracks. Shungit can be monolithic or layered. The monolithic look differs in durability and resistance to external factors. Color gamma black or with shades gray, but there can be quartz impregnations giving golden or white streaks.
