The begonia has number of useful properties: cleans and moistens air and also eliminates electromagnetic radiations. There is a lot of species of plant, most of them are suitable for house conditions.
The begonia is plant for which it is necessary warmly: from the +18th in the winter and from the +20th in the summer. Light, but not contact with direct sunshine is necessary. The ever flowering begonia grows to 50 cm in height, has smooth, wide leaves and small flowers of white, pink or red color. Longer daylight hours is necessary for it – till 18 o'clock, it can be provided with phytolamps. Twice a month the plant needs bait: manganese and pine forest. And to plunge it into hibernation, it is enough to reduce air temperature to +15 degrees. This grade best of all is suitable for house conditions.
The tiger begonia – plant lower, maximum height does not exceed 30 cm. Blossoms in winter time. Small flowers, pink and white. Leaves too medium-sized, have jags at the edges, color – bright green with light impregnations, across the region there passes the brown border.
Begonia the Griffin is so-called royal grade, i.e. subspecies of royal begonia. Large, dark green leaves on the one hand and pink with nacre – with another. Edge at leaves carved.
The yellow begonia grows to 45 cm in height, lying escapes are characteristic of it. Leaves toothed at the edges, oval form, two-color: from outer side green and smooth, with internal – burgundy and with down. Small flowers, graceful, yellow with pink border. But white, pink and red shades meet.
The begonia krasnolistny has received the name for color of inside of leaves. They at it big, up to 15 cm, light green, sit on short stalk. Small, pink flowers. The plant from December to June blossoms.
Vida, demanding special leaving
4 grades of begonias belong to this group: coral, Rex, ampelous, Cleopatra. The first of them is divided into two views – with red-orange colors and with pink, in both cases its height from 30 to 90 cm. Two-color leaves: from outer side silvery with green streaks, with internal – red. The coral begonia lives 5 years, breeds shanks. Regular cutting is necessary for it.
The begonia Rex differs in leaves. They at it large, jagged at the edges, spotty - with the drawing from multi-colored impregnations. And flowers small, faded, them it is necessary to cut off right after emergence. The plant needs moderate humidity and the darkened place as begonia Rex does not transfer dry air. It is impossible to assume that on leaves water got.
The hanging begonia has the thin, hanging-down escapes therefore it is necessary to plant such plant in cachepot. Flowers its small and bright: red, orange or burgundy, but wither in 10 days. However on their place new immediately appear. The hanging begonia needs good lighting, air temperature to +25 degrees, and during blossoming – fertilizing by mineral, nitrogenous and organic fertilizers.
The begonia Cleopatra grows to 35 cm, its leaves two-color: from outer side olive, with internal – densely covered with white hairs. The plant needs uniform good lighting for what it should be turned regularly and also does not transfer excessive watering and dry air.
