Practically any materials which are used in construction or repair of rooms today have certain set of tools for work with them. Gypsum cardboard and profiles to which it fastens exception are not. There are many tools allowing to simplify and accelerate considerably work with these materials.
Movement and fixing of gypsum cardboard in the necessary situation
Massive gypsum plasterboards (HL) before mounting constantly should be moved both in small apartments and offices, and on impressive construction sites. It is the first physical contact with plasterboard which builders should have, to erection teams or fans of independent repair.
For simplification of these efforts there are several devices. There are models of handles carryings of sheets HL calculated on one or two workers. They allow to carry out capture of leaf at convenient height and to move it, holding in the necessary situation.
Also carrying which can be made of plastic or metal is developed for loner repairmen. It allows to fix reliably the sheet of gypsum cardboard and to move it without assistants.
For conditions of big construction site the industry offers the three-wheeled cart capable to transport up to 400 kg of construction material. The HL is loaded in this cart on edge with small inclination. Easier to transport construction material on the platforms which are not cleared away from garbage it is necessary to choose carts with the large diameter of wheels.
Gypsum cardboard in the course of mounting demands fixing in certain situation. Most often it is suspended - horizontally or vertically. For high-quality performance of work either assistants, or special devices which exist in the market today are required.
Vertical position of sheet of gypsum cardboard is well provided by the mounting support which is the lever equipped with the metal mobile emphasis necessary for deduction of leaf. The support "gently" addresses with plasterboard and keeps bottom edge which leans on it safe and sound.
One more device giving the chance quickly to fix HL during covering of walls – the pedal elevator. It allows not only to hold the sheet of vertically mounted gypsum cardboard on weight, but also is capable to press it to ceiling. However, for this purpose the main master will need the assistant. One he will be limited in the actions.
There is among gadgets for gypsum cardboard mounting frame elevator. This already difficult device capable to move and establish HL in the necessary vertical or horizontal provisions. The frame elevator reliably fixes the sheet of gypsum cardboard on profile framework, is ideal for mounting of continuous false ceilings, does not demand excess workers, but not everyone is able to afford such device to get.
What in this case to do to the house master when mounting false ceiling which cannot be executed alone without auxiliary equipment? Here can help or the elevator strut which is made industrially, or two Tee support manually made.
Length of this device needs to be counted proceeding from floor-to-ceiling height minus thickness of gypsum cardboard and distance from ceiling to framework where it fastens.
Measuring tools
Tape measure, level and plumb – without these classical tools it is impossible to apply qualitatively preliminary marking on material and to mount it in the correct situation on vertical or horizontal axes.
But today the industry offers also other devices which allow not only to accelerate gypsum cardboard mounting process, but also to improve quality of works.
- Metrostat 300. The sliding bubble measuring scale capable to reach three-meter length. With its help it is possible to define very precisely vertical or horizontal position of HL.
- Hydraulic level. It is applied to work with the horizontal planes. Gives the chance to do their breakdown and to transfer marks from some surfaces to others. Lines of marking are defined by means of hose which length is from 10 meters.
- Linear laser level. Treats samples of the modern measuring equipment by means of which it is possible to achieve ideal result in creation of both vertical, and horizontal projection. Builds the planes by means of mutually perpendicular laser beams.
- Laser rotational level. Has several modes allowing to create the vertical, horizontal and inclined planes. Rotation in this device of laser beam allows to build plane projection to 360 degrees round its pivot-center. Especially effectively this level works in big rooms.
Tools necessary for cutting of gypsum plasterboards
In the course of work the big sheets of gypsum cardboard need to be cut by the size and forms. For this purpose there is also number of necessary devices and tools.
Table for cutting of HL. Has two basic legs with the persistent elements attached to them. Atop there is trellised cover on which one party the clamping line of the necessary length is fixed. Version is the folding table workbench which support frame develops for transportation.
Treat cutting tools:
