Use of fluorescent paint

Use of fluorescent paint

Fluorescent paints are often applied in design and registration of interiors. They draw attention thanks to special characteristics at once: the particles which are part do not absorb incident light, and reflect it thanks to what the drawing effectively shines in beams of ultra-violet radiation.

Normal pigments reflect about 80-90% of incident light, and fluorescent paint – several times is more. It is possible that such paints transform the absorbed ultra-violet light and radiate in visible part of range. Unlike phosphorescent paints, fluorescent do not glow in the dark in itself, and only reflect invisible beams of ultra-violet radiation.

The shining pigments in ready paint represent quite large firm particles from polymers, up to 75 microns in size. They are painted by fluorescent dyes on the basis of phosphor – rhodamines or aminonaftalimida. Such structure of paint does not allow to receive glossy equal covering in one layer. One more shortcoming – dyes decay at temperature from 150 to 250 wasps, they can fade at constant stay on bright to light.

Use of fluorescent paints

The effect of luminescence which involves designers in fluorescent paints turns out because the energy which is saved up during the day begins to be released. Images in clubs, restaurants, bars in which low degree of illumination is combined with opportunity to turn on ultra-violet lamps are especially often created – the shining pictures look true pieces of art. Thanks to the fact that the drawing reflects beams of directional light, for example, light of headlights of the car it can be used for increase in safety on the road. Dyes can be applied on any subject, but the following scopes of application are most widespread: - printing of brochures, stickers, labels; - dressing of stones, concrete and brick walls, borders, paved paths, gate; - coloring of lively colors paint on water emulsion basis; - coloring of wooden, plastic surfaces and also has flown down; - bodyart; - the press of photocollages with the shining elements; - drawings on clothes by means of acrylic phosphoric paint.

For drawing on skin or hair it is necessary to use only special safe paints.

Practically all paints with fluorescent effect are not dangerous to people, it is necessary to observe normal security measures only: to use respirator during works, to avoid hit in eyes or in mouth.

How to make quality of fluorescent covering higher

That the drawing long was pleasing to the eye, it is necessary to take care of the correct putting paint. As substrate it is better to use specially developed soil – white paint, it will allow to enhance effect of luminescence for 15-20%.

The varnish covering is capable to reduce effect of luminescence several.

The ready and dried surface should be covered with transparent lacquer, it will allow to increase life cycle of paint and will protect dyes from ultra-violet radiation.
