MDF - the material known already almost half a century. Term is more than sufficient to make sure of ""viability"" of these popular and nowadays panels. The main scope of application - decorative finishing where on quality of imitation of natural material it is rather difficult to find the worthy competitor of MDF.
The MDF modern panels – good option for high-quality finishing of the dwelling at rather small financial expenses. Similar products are just calculated on independent repair which can do to any person having at least small skills of work with the electric tool. Panels allow to carry out almost any conceived design without invitation of highly paid experts.
Arrangement of framework
Wooden bars of 40х40 mm or 50х50 mm will be necessary. They need to be fixed on surface strictly horizontally with step to 60-70 cm (use construction level). To achieve the necessary situation, apply linings in the form of scraps of the same bars. It is necessary to fix framework by means of dowels and suitably longwise hardware. If wall wooden, then enough simple self-tapping screws on tree. For construction of framework it is possible to use also the metal sections applied to fastening of gypsum plasterboards. Such option is even more preferable, - since the ideal surface of profiles excludes possible curvature of the MDF panels when fastening.
Mounting of panels
Installation of panels begins with room corner. Fix the extreme party of starting strip by self-tapping screws (25 mm), and insert into rabbeted part special fastenings (klyaymer) and record them by means of tacks which are on sale complete with klyaymer. The subsequent strip is inserted into previous, etc. The last panel should be adjusted to the size, it is the simplest to make it the electrofret saw. The final stage assumes giving of the finished type of the revetted surface. For this purpose use fringing. The special ornamental strips closing internal, external corners mean. It is necessary to fix them by means of silicone sealant or liquid nails. Also other option of fringing, with use of the profiles applied when finishing by plastic panels is possible. In this case after mounting the wall will be effectively allocated, kind of emphasizing "feature". Such method of fringing well looks when finishing small rooms, for example, of loggia, balcony. When using the MDF panels it is necessary to remember their bad resistance to moisture influence, - let not at once, but over time panels all the same will become impregnated with water and will gradually take absolutely modest form, - deformation will begin. Also you should not revet wall with panels if the source of naked flame is near.
