Types of varnish
One of types of universal varnish on stone – the pressurizing impregnation on the basis of silicone and acrylic resins. This structure can be used for processing of natural and artificial stone, paving slabs and concrete articles. The pressurizing varnish impregnation does not turn yellow over time and is resistant to aggressive environmental activities therefore it is often used for front works and covering of garden paths.
One more type of universal varnish for stone – acrylic protective impregnation on latex basis. Silicone which allows to provide effective protection of surface against influences of external factors is part of such varnish. This impregnation, getting into structure of stone, strengthens it, protecting from destruction.
The third type of varnish for stone – oil varnish. It does not burn out in the sun, does not crack and is not erased. The oil varnish is made on solvent basis. The silicone pitch capable to get into deep layers of stone and concrete is part of such means.

The covering varnish gives to brick or stone the following properties: - moisture impermeability; - durability; - resistance to chemical influences; - immunity to temperature fluctuations. Features of use of varnish for stone
The technology of putting varnish on stone, brick or concrete surface is simple even for the beginner. Originally the surface needs to be ground and cleaned from pollution. It is necessary to cause structure with the roller, or paint brush. If it is necessary to process the big area, it is possible to use airbrush. It is recommended to apply varnish several times, each layer has to dry out. Rate of drying depends on many conditions, but nevertheless it is more preferable to work with varnish for stone at above-zero temperature. During operating time it is necessary to avoid water ingress under covering. It will not be able to evaporate and will deform surface over time. During operating time with varnish it is necessary to use respirator or special mask. During the internal works periodically it is worth airing the room as the structure represents difficult chemical compound. During the work it is not necessary to neglect fire safety. Any varnish – flammable substance. Over time the covering loses original form, grows dull. Before updating stone surface, it is necessary to remove residues of old varnish.
