Cultivation of houseplants (especially exotic) of stones is hobby of many amateur flower growers today. To grow up in house conditions tree, rare for our area, or bush with beautiful flowers or unusual fruits, it is optional to buy expensive seeds or to conduct saplings with the South. All this with success can be grown up from fruit stone of the eaten fruit.
Citrus
After the lemon, orange, tangerine or grapefruit is eaten, can just plant their stones in damp fertile soil and put to the warm place. When there are shoots, let's them grow up a little, and then choose the strongest and replace in separate pot. If you want to wait for fructification from your tree, do not forget it to impart aged 1.5 years. Then in 5-7 years you will be able to remove from it the first fruits.
Fruits can disappoint you slightly: their taste and aroma will be not such saturated, as at their fellows growing in natural environment.
Pomegranate
Wash out stone of ripe pomegranate and put to the damp earth on depth of 1-1.5 cm. You prishchipnit the grown-up plant at that height which you consider optimum for your future granatnik. You will be able soon to create nice bush or multibarrelled tree. At the age of 3-4 years of grenades begins to blossom, on branches flowers of three types – women's, men's and oboyepoly appear. In room conditions the maturing of fruits happens long, in hothouse – quicker, but in both cases the plant is amazingly attractive externally, at the same time can please with the beauty very long (separate house copies live up to 30 years).
Date palm tree
Inveterate flower growers very much like to grow up date palm tree from stone. That germination has happened quicker, the stone can be nadpilit slightly the fret saw or knife with small jags. It is important not to damage the seed which is inside at the same time. Put stone to the earth vertically, from above the soil layer 1 cm high has to cover it. Water in process of drying of earth lump with warm boiled water. Sprout will appear approximately in one or one and a half months. You can accelerate even more germination time if before landing to the earth wet stone in hot water (38-40os) for 2-3 days, changing constantly cooled down water for warm. Then take on water bath within half an hour and land to the heated-up damp earth. Cover from above with polyethylene film, remove it when the sprout gets stronger. In process of growth of palm tree replace it in more volume pots.
The date palm tree grows quickly enough, turning into powerful nice tree, but never yields fruits in room conditions.
Avocado
Accurately get stone from fruit, remove from it kozhurka and thrust blunt end in the prepared, i.e. humidified and heated-up, nutritious soil. It is important that during germination, emergence and initial development of sprout ambient air temperature did not fall below +18os. Replace the grown-up plant in suitable pot and in process of its growth form krone. In room conditions it is accepted to form bush though in nature avocado is tree.
Persimmon
Wash out stone of ripe fruit, dry and put to the damp earth on depth of 1-2 cm. Cover with cellophane film and put to the warm place. Sometimes remove film, let's the soil "breathe". If necessary water with warm water. In 7-14 days the sprout will appear, then you can remove film absolutely because persimmon grows very quickly, and cellophane can prevent. Put pot with plant on well lit place, but not in zone of hit of direct sunshine. The main thing in cultivation of young house tree (or bush, everything depends on grade) – timely change in more volume pot. If to it there is not enough place, it can die. In October or November the plant should be transferred there where air temperature does not exceed +5os. It can be cellar, the basement, cold closet. Fill up the soil with sawdust or dry grass. Sometimes spray with boiled water. Get from the shelter in the spring and strengthen watering. When height of persimmon approaches 20 cm, do vaccination. You can get scion in botanical garden or order in specialized shop. 4-5 years later after inoculation, you can expect fruits.
