1. Own seeds tomato - the best. You know how to look after seedling, what features of change and harvesting. Never take seeds from unfamiliar bushes. To rely only on the recommendations of neighbors or own visual assessment extremely risky. Plants can sometimes be hybrids which need special care. In addition, do not use fruits for the seed purposes if bushes have symptoms of mushroom or viral diseases.
2. Choosing fruit on seeds, break the largest options from the first or second brush. In order that the fruit has ripened, put it for several days on solar windowsill. The tomato will become soft soon, then cut it in half and remove all seeds with normal teaspoon. Lay out seeds on the sheet of white paper and dry up them. It is possible to put seeds in bank, and in couple of days to take out them from there, to wash out and dry. After that make elementary sample of seeds: remove all rotten, broken copies. Healthy seeds have to have yellow or brown color and to be whole.
3. Now check seeds for viability, having placed them in 3% solution of salt water. For this purpose dissolve 1-1.5 teaspoons of salt in 500 ml of water. Floating seeds are not suitable for landing. And here collect those which have fallen by bottom and dry. Them to sit down on seedling is possible. If it is necessary to keep seeds, place them in paper bag and you keep in the dry cool place. It is important not to allow moisture and dampness. For disinfecting of seeds shortly before landing wet them in potassium permanganate solution. You keep seeds in weak-pink solution till 6 o'clock. And in dark pink - only half an hour. After that cast away seeds on colander, wash out and dry up. Under the influence of potassium permanganate the seeds gain dark brown color.
4. Solution of potassium permanganate can be replaced with water with the wood ashes divorced in it. Components of such solution: teaspoon of wood ashes, teaspoon to nitrophoska, fertilizer tablespoon (or growth factor), ¼ teaspoons of powder of humate of sodium. Lower seeds in solution in gauze sack for 12 hours. Mix of all components turns out very feeder therefore seeds very quickly ascend. At the same time soaking of seeds is prevention of viral diseases.
5. After processing it is necessary to temper seeds. For this purpose put them in the fridge on the side shelf. Temperature has to be not less than +1 + 2C. You keep seeds in the fridge within two days in fabric sacks. Sometimes it is possible to spray accurately them with water that they did not dry up. After hardening the seeds can be sown at once to the soil: shoots will be amicable and healthy. Hybrid seeds of tomatoes do not demand processing and soaking: sow their dry to the damp soil.
