Today it is difficult to provide the company which is not using pallets. It is the special container used for movement heavy and cargoes within loading range. Nearly the most popular type of pallets in Russia is europallet. In what its feature and what the sizes of such pallet are?
For what europallets are necessary
Universal europallets thanks to universality are applied almost in any industry and the industry. The purpose at pallets of all it one – to make fast loading and transportation of goods from one place in another. The only thing that needs to be made is to achieve the correct and reliable fixing of cargo. Only it can ensure its safety during shipment regardless of distance and quality of road surfacing.
Material
In most cases convenient and strong europallets are made from tree, in rare instances – from metal or plastic. However, regardless of material, the size at europallet always same. Also identical is way of fastening. The cargo placed on europallet has to be in addition recorded by belts or thermoshrinkable films. Exception in this case are those gruzk which have been placed in "big-baby" - big plastic bags.
Loading capacity
It should be noted that, start up europallet not rather heavy on weight (most often the weight of europallet does not happen more than 10 kilograms), maximum weight, transported on it, can reach point of 2.5 tons. Why?
The fact is that the design both pallets, and europallets allows them to maintain big weight. Wooden boards and bars of europallets are connected by 100-millimeter nails.
It is rather simple design which, it seems, has to collapse under weight of several tons. However the correct arrangement of checkers and alternation of plates on width (at plates the different sizes) europallets can with firmness and it is reliable to transport big cargoes.
Europallet sizes
You should not confuse with each other American and europallets – each of types differs in the dimensions. So, standard dimensions of europallet – 80х120 centimeters. Dimensions of American – 100х100 centimeters. Such sizes of europallet have been chosen not just like that – such width and length allow to place cargo compactly on the semi-trailer.
What does it mean? In the eurotruck with standard dimensions 86 m3 of cargo, and the semi-trailer sizes – 13.6х2.45х2.65 meters can be located (these are parameters of length x width x height). 33 europallets enter this semi-trailer. At the same time it is possible to stack them as lengthways (on three in a row), and across (on two in a row).
At the same time, regardless of arrangement of europallets body, they will not reach wall on several millimeters. It says not only about correctly picked up sizes of europallets, but also that freight will be delivered to the destination in integrity and full safety.
