The eccentric tie differently is called minifix or eccentric clip. It represents special type of fastening which is used in assembly of furniture and provides masking of position of joint of parts.
In what feature of eccentric tie?
This type of connection carries to type of euroscrews. In recent years it has considerably pressed popular shurupny tie. Today all qualitative cabinet furniture is made by means of minifix. Such type of fastening provides high strength of connection and allows to make repeated assembly without damage to quality of furniture.
The set of the elements necessary for eccentric tie consists of several parts: the clown (in the form of oblong cylinder), rod, the coupling which this rod, stubs has to enter. The last is made of polymer and is intended for closing of position of joint: is established on the top face of the clown. Most often use cylinders section 12, 15, 25 mm. The eccentric tie sets exact location of the attached part. On it (part) the coupling from minifix set in which further twist the clown fixed on other element of furniture is screwed in or pressed in previously. Different producers can have different complete set and type of components of eccentric tie, but the principle of its work is identical everywhere: dense strength half-closed connection of parts. Besides eccentric clip, there are two more types of eccentric tie: angular and double-sided. But in furniture production they are almost not used because of uselessness.
Minifix shortcomings
The main minus of this type of connection of parts of furniture – its high cost. All elements of eccentric clip are made of expensive, but high-quality materials, with use of modern technologies. So, cylinders form under high pressure of zinc or aluminum alloys. Its head is made in the Tee form and has ledge which has to rest against coupling face. The last are two types: metal and plastic. One more lack of this type of fixture is special insistence to correctness of installation. If the opening under tie is made a little inaccurately, even high-quality spare parts will not provide the required durability of connection of parts. Therefore such work is trusted only professionals.
