Availability of normal pressure in the system of cold water supply – indispensable condition for its normal work. Nevertheless many residents of owner-occupied and multifamily houses face such problem as weak pressure of cold water.
For what reasons in the house there can be weak pressure of cold water
Water is pumped to houses through network of water pipes which condition leaves much to be desired. Operating organizations are afraid to damage worn-out pipes and periodically reduce pressure in them due to contraction of volume of the passing water. At the same time cold water from cranes begins to flow very poorly.
Sometimes the problem of weak pressure of cold water is connected with contamination of struts in all house or with incorrect work of water shutoff and control valves in the basement. Reduction of clearing hole of the water pipes located in the apartment is in certain cases observed that naturally leads to decrease in pressure of water. One more reason of weak pressure of cold water – the got littered or faulty mixer.
How to work if in the house or the apartment the reduction of pressure of cold water is observed
If the weak pressure is observed only in one sanitary device, and in other places of the apartment water goes normally, then business can be in contamination of pipes or fault of the device. The blockage is probable in case the sanitary device is from strut at a great distance. If in all other cranes and devices the good pressure of water, problem consists in fault of one specific. It is possible to restore normal water supply by replacement of the sanitary device or elimination of blockage. At weak pressure of water in all apartments on one strut the reason should be looked for or in contamination of strut, or in work of the main water supply system. If replacement of water strut is necessary, it should be changed entirely, but not in parts.
If the weak pressure is observed only in one apartment, it is necessary to check passability of water pipes and serviceability of cranes between struts. The problem is solved by installation of new pipes and repair of cranes. Low level of pressure of water in all struts speaks about problems with the main water supply system at home.
It is possible to increase water pressure by means of the electric pump, however at the same time pressure will sharply fall in pipes of the neighboring apartments.
