Laminate and parquet – some of floor coverings most popular today. The first quite practical material which, besides, on design is similar either to wooden, or to tiled floor. The second is chosen by fans of all natural. The parquet is considered the most eco-friendly material. But, despite their practicality and environmental friendliness, there is number of nuances which should be considered when cleaning.
From laminate or parquet it is necessary to approach mopping with special care and attention. It is enough to use not that method of washing or to apply not that means as exterior of floor becomes irrevocably spoiled.
Washing of parquet: features
The correct washing for parquet is paramount. It cannot be wetted thoughtlessly – it will crack and will crack. If to use aggressive means for washing – it will warp and will be scratched.
Experts claim if to use only three certain means, the parquet floor will look ideally. Enter the list: - felt rag and soft brush; - soft (nonaggressive) means for washing of parquet; - electrofloor polisher.
All this is in open access in normal shops today. And costs not so much – repair of the spoiled floor will obviously be much more more expensive.
It is necessary to consider that the parquet board, unlike the parquet, is not varnished. On the one hand, it is simpler since no special care products behind varnish covering are required. With another – such material very strongly suffers from moisture. Wash parquet board only with warm or cold water. Hot leads to material swelling. But at the same time do not try to wash floor long since long influence of moisture deforms covering.
Earlier the mopping method when previously on covering water poured out has been widespread, and then floor was wiped dry. To parquet such method is categorically inapplicable.
You should not wash the floor from parquet board often, normal easy damp cleaning suffices. For this purpose apply well the released soft rag. It is possible to add to water and cleaning agent, but only what is intended for parquet. It softer and perfectly is suitable for washing of tree. It is possible to update covering after washing by means of special mastic which will add to parquet board smoothness and gloss. As option, it is possible to rub floor with electrofloor polisher and to polish with felt fabric.
Laminate: features of cleaning
To mop floors from laminate very easily – hardly anyone will argue with this statement. However seldom who thinks and as it is correctly necessary to wash such floor. If to apply the wrong methods or means, it is possible to notice that the covering quickly was wiped, has worn out and begins to creak. Today it is possible to find huge number of the means intended for laminate cleaning in shops. On all of them there is special mark. Exactly thanks to them it is possible to eliminate easily from floor surface traces of fat, dirt, felt-tip pens, etc. If on laminate there were spots, apply on them the cleaning structure (as it is correct to make it read in the instruction to means) and sustain several minutes. Then remove spot together with means the soft, slightly humidified rag. It is possible to wash the laminated floor soft rag. The only thing, it is necessary to watch that it was not too damp. Even if the covering moisture resistant, water, getting to joints, can lead to irreversible changes.
