August - the last summer month, the most intense time for gardeners. In August it is necessary to be in time a lot of things: to reap crop, to make preparations for the winter, to continue pest control and to take care of plants which still fructify. The harvest of next year in many respects depends on efforts of gardeners.
Care for tomatoes
August is artful by cold dews therefore it is worth worrying about plants in the open ground in advance. In the first days of the month it is necessary to remove large fruits at tomatoes, and to cover bed with film or ukryvny material. Warmly still more than once will return, and plants will be able to fructify in the open ground to the most Indian summer.
To close hotbeds and greenhouses one night better. In greenhouses to continue to process tomatoes: to remove dry leaves, not to allow thickening of greens, in time to prishchipyvat tops. Care for cucumbers

In cloudy days the cucumbers remove less often.

To prolong fructification of cucumbers, it is possible to warm up top soil by mulching by new-mown grass or humus. Earthing up and loosening in radical zone is very useful. Fertilizing will not prevent cucumbers too, for this purpose 1 glass of wood ashes is parted in bucket of water and insisted day, then watered with the received infusion. Care for fruit-trees

For the winter to the soil it is useful to introduce phosphorus-potassium fertilizers (300 g of superphosphate and 50 g of potash salt on water bucket). From wreckers it is good to spray trees with garlic infusion with laundry soap. For preparation of infusion of 150 g of pounded garlic gloves to lay out in 3-liter can and to fill in with water. To insist not less than 3 days, then to filter and add 40 g of laundry soap. Processing by such infusion will protect trees from plant louses, ticks and trips.
